Here it is, the biggest, most prestigious event on the Australian B.A.S.S. calendar, the Berkley B.A.S.S. Australia Nation Championship where the pro winner becomes the next representative to travel the USA and compete in a tournament of life time and have their shot at being the first B.A.S.S. Australia Nation Member to make it to the Bassmaster Classic, the World Championship of Bass Fishing.

Get your passports ready, as this year is your chance to make to the Classic, the B.A.S.S. Australia Nation Team will be travelling to Alabama “the home of B.A.S.S.” to compete on Pickwick Lake as Florence Alabama.

The team will be leaving around the 1stof November and heading to Atlanta Georgia, picking up the B.A.S.S. Australia Nation boat and travelling across to Alabama, stopping in at primary tackle shops and preparing for the tournament of your lifetime. Dylan Fryer has already secured the Co-Angler spot after taking out the 2017 Co-Angler of the Year title and will be ready to go better than his top 7 from the 2017 BNC.

Airfares, accommodation, budgeted food options, transfers, fuel, and entries are all covered in this package, all you need to do is get your tackle ready and you will be good to go. B.A.S.S. Australia Nation has also a large selection of rods and reels, some plastics and hard body lures that can be borrowed for this event.

The Berkley Championship s also designed to give the co-anglers more bang for buck as he major prize pool consisting of 2 Garmin Sounders, Samurai Refraction Rod, and Tonic Eyewear plus a massive Berkley prize pack for the Co-Angler Champion

After an incredible 12 months, 6 Berkley B.A.S.S. Australia Nation qualifying rounds across 2 states, and fishing against the toughest anglers in Australia, the best 32 anglers in both divisions will line up to compete at the mother of all bass lakes in Australia. Lake Glenbawn is perfectly suited with only 32 boats competing, has a wide spread of big numbers of the toughest fishing bass in Australia, and we expect the anglers to tear this place a part in late August.

A complimentary shirt will be given to each angler prior to the event, valued at $60 each we also have a huge prize pool for both the pro and co-angler division.

If you are hanging around for the AOY Champion dinner you will also be treated to some food and refreshments on the Sunday evening, with some music the AOY Champion dinner will have finger food and plenty of good times.

Technical Information

A 3.5 hour drive from Sydney, Lake Glenbawn State Park is 160 km north-west of Newcastle, just off the New England Highway, and can be reached via Aberdeen or Scone. Nearest regional centre is Scone and the lake is approximately 15 kms East from Scone.

The lake is up to approximately 22 kilometres long and has a capacity of 749,840 million litres. When full the lake has a surface area of 2,615 hectares.

Facilities include - Amenities block, bait/lures, bbqs electric, bbqs wood, boat ramp, camp kitchen, disabled access, fuel, groceries, ice, kiosk, laundry, LP gas, picnic area, playground, public telephone, shelter shed, take-away food, tennis, and van storage.

DOGS - Dogs are allowed in Lake Glenbawn recreation park providing they remain on a lead at all times.

FISHING LICENCE

Fishing Licences are essential for fishing and are valid throughout NSW for both fresh and salt-water fishing.
