Callum Sivewright currently leads the Gangster Lures Clarence Kayak Open presented by Native Watercraft Australia and heads out in the second session in front of the pack, as he brought to the scales 1 of only 2 limits of the first session and has a slender lead over local angler Ken Gerke who is only 40 grams behind.
Young Sivewright has plenty of river experience.
In what is shaping up to be a very tough tournament, with scorching hot weather descending on Copmanhurst NSW, the river is only giving up limited bass with the anglers landing a lot of undersized model but struggling to temp the larger legal bass.
He will be looking to push forward with his lead in session 2.
Rounding out the top 3 and landing over 14 bass for the session is Todd Young, who managed the other limit for the 1st session of the Gangster Lures Clarence Kayak Open.
Todd Young also had a limit.
Ken Gerke also holds down the current Tonic Big Bass of the tournament with a 790 grammar hitting the scales.
