Kayak Championship Heading Back to Somerset!

The Native Watercraft B.A.S.S. Australia Nation Kayak Championship heads back to Lake Somerset for the final tournament of the series, on the weekend of the 14th- 16th September.

After last year’s amazing success, we felt Somerset would be the perfect option for the September bite period, and with massive bas hitting the scales in 2017, we except to see similar results.

With the top 30 anglers out of the AOY being invited to the Championship the winner will walk away with a *trip to the USA to compete in the Bassmaster Open in 2019.

Each competitor will receive a customised shirt and with a massive prize pool on offer the competitors have an opportunity to make history and become the 2nd Native Watercraft Australian Kayak Champion.

Jonathan Chen took out last year’s AOY, and Championship and cemented himself as the leading Bass Kayak angler in the country, again he is leading the AOY points race with 2 tournaments to go with Dayne Taylor and Alan Brittcliffe hot on his heels, can he repeat the process and take both title out in 2018?

The tournament registration will open the week after the final round of the Native Watercraft Kayak Series Qualifiers end and with limited spots open to registration it will be an amazing event to be a part of.
