For the 2ndtime this season, Greg Beattie will be leading the field out into the final session in a southern lake round, as he takes a 140 gram gap over 2 heavy hitters who are hot on his tail. In the 5th round of the Berkley Series, the Keitech St Clair Classic, Beattie has weighed 2 solid limits and will be focusing his attention to a final session finish that could see him claim the title, over $3,500.00 in cash and prizes and instantly qualify him into the Berkley Championship that will be held

For the 2ndtime this season, Greg Beattie will be leading the field out into the final session in a southern lake round, as he takes a 140 gram gap over 2 heavy hitters who are hot on his tail. In the 5th round of the Berkley Series, the Keitech St Clair Classic, Beattie has weighed 2 solid limits and will be focusing his attention to a final session finish that could see him claim the title, over $3,500.00 in cash and prizes and instantly qualify him into the Berkley Championship that will be held on Lake Glenbawn in late August.

Tied in 2nd place and with a huge amount to take home from a victory in this round is Matthew Langford and Tom Slater who are also fishing very consistently. Langford could possibly secure the Angler of the Year title with one massive session which would net him a trip to the B.A.S.S. Nation Championship 2019.

Slater is in a similar boat to Beattie and could also have some later round heroic’s which would not only give him a great payout, it could also see him heading to Glenbawn for the massive B.A.S.S. Nation Championship.

Behind these anglers are a huge number of quality anglers including round winners, multiple AOY Champions and more.

In the co-angler ranks Dane Pryce brought in largest sack of the tournament so far with a massive 2.44kg limit which was anchored down by the current Tonic Big Bass of the event at 1.44kg. Pryce is also in the hunt for the Co-Angler of the year title which includes a Tabs Boat and Honda Marine Motor package valued at over $22,000.00.

In second place Ethan Martin who turns 18 tomorrow is knocking on the door and Josh Gray isn’t far away.

The current Co-Angler of the Year leader Jake Schwerin who blanked in the 1st session has came flying back and sits in 15th place and Cameron Jones in in 7th place. Jayden Fox who had a great start to the tournament had a tough session and dropped to 25thplace.

Tune in tomorrow at 11:00am to see who will take out the title and take home the major AOY points.
